The Great Southern Animal Hospital has been caring for the pets of Columbus the past 45 years providing full preventative, medical, surgical, and dental care. Yearly health exams and vaccinations are offered as well as flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. The diagnostic laboratory is equipped to perform heartworm tests, feline leukemia/FIV screening, fecal parasite examinations, urinalysis, radiographs, tonometry, and complete blood chemistry profiles. We provide surgical care utilizing pre-surgical blood evaluations, a sterile surgical suite, isoflurane anesthesia, electrocardiology, histopatholgy, and pulse oximeter monitoring. Dental procedures include ultrasonic cleaning, polishing, fluoride application, and surgery to help eliminate and prevent periodontal disease.
The Hospital is located on South High Street 4 miles south of Broad & High in downtown Columbus and 2 miles north of 270 & South High.
